2018 was quite a year and I went in head strong, fresh and ready for the unexpected. Things happened I had only ever dreamt of. Here is my list in no particular order.

-Spent 1st January at a fashion party in Amsterdam with my oldest friend.

-Signed up to Bumble (dating app).

-Went on a date with a confused gay guy. Told him he should just come out - it isn’t an issue. (Date lasted 50 minutes).

-Met my Mark Darcy.

-Had our first kiss on Charlotte Street, London.

-Went to Monaco with Mark Darcy.

-Moved in with Mark Darcy.

-Bought childhood dream car - A Mini Cooper S (British racing green, a white roof and sassy headlights).

-Behaved outrageously in the hospital with N.C.K while our bestie had chemotherapy.

-Witnessed my best friend beat breast cancer in November and got engaged in December.

-My other best friend got pregnant.

-Danced until dawn in Ibiza.

-Partied on the back of a speedboat in Ibiza in a bright yellow bikini that was too small on the bum.

-Watched the sunset over London from the Shard.

-Burnt my nipples (sunbathing topless - even after wearing factor 30).

-Named burnt nipples crispy nips - they resembled Tyrells vegetables crisps.

-Accepted my hips had widened because Mother Nature is trying to force me to have a baby.

-Fell in love with red wine.

- Became quite the cook…not just breakfasts, but dinners too.

-Became a food snob and fell for Abel & Cole.

-Visited Lisbon.

-Demolished a tiger crab with a hammer, resulting in putting off my best friend from trying seafood…forever.

-Bought the perfect navy velvet armchair after stalking them on Pinterest.

-Chopped 8 inches off my hair (sassy chop) and went short for the first time in my life.

- Regretted cutting my hair.

-Went to Hamleys for the first time since…ever.

-Fell in love with almond croissants.

-Went to a networking event ALONE.

-Accepted the past.

-Saw the Rolling Stones.

-Cried at the royal wedding.

-Caught shingles in March and felt like a diseased dog.

-Spent New Year in a giant bath with Laurent-Perrier champagne and Mark Darcy.

-Started writing my book (properly).

-Took a day trip to Oxford.

- Set up my dream writing office.

- Dabbled in DIY and painted our house.

-No longer upset or intimidated when playing scrabble.

-Launched The Sass Bible.

-Drank 22 Aperol Spritz in 3 days.

Years that go by do not define you, time is an abstract concept created by humans and has no real bearing on the events that occur. BUT these years help you gain perspective, reflect and encourage you to work towards your goals and dreams.
